peepoop 🍼 — one-tap baby tracking
peepoop helps parents and caregivers record a baby's feeds, nappies, sleep and medicines. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and your name and profile photo URL if the way you signed in provides them. Signing in with Google or Apple passes those to us from that provider. Signing in with your email address instead sends you a six-digit code or a one-tap link; we hold a one-way hash of that code for ten minutes so it can be checked once, and then delete it. peepoop has no passwords at all, so there is never one for us to store, lose or leak.
- Baby profiles. The name, date of birth, sex and optional birth weight you enter, plus the emoji you pick.
- Log entries. The events you record — feeds (including amount, side and source), nappies and stool colour, nappy changes and how heavy the nappy was, sleep, pumping, medicines — each with the time it happened and who logged it. Logging a nappy change also records an estimate of the wees that nappy was holding, worked out from its weight and marked in the timeline as an estimate.
- Reminders. The reminders you create, their times, the days they repeat on, and your device's time zone so they fire at the right local moment.
- Device push tokens. If you allow notifications, we store the token your device needs to receive them.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic usage analytics via Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase, used only to find and fix problems in the app.
Health information
Some of what you log — medicines, stool colour, feeding amounts — describes your baby's health. We treat it as private to you and the caregivers you invite. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile. peepoop is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice.
Who can see your data
Only you and the caregivers you explicitly invite to a baby. Inviting someone by email gives them full access to that baby's logs and reminders. Anyone on the caregiver list can add, edit or delete entries, and can invite further caregivers. Remove someone by deleting them from the caregiver list.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Google Cloud Firestore in the asia-south1
region (Mumbai, India) and processed by Google Cloud Functions in the same
region. Google acts as our data processor. Transfers are encrypted in
transit, and data is encrypted at rest by Google Cloud.
Sign-in emails and caregiver invitations are delivered by Brevo (Sendinblue), acting as our processor for that one purpose. They receive only the address the email is going to and the message itself. No log entries, and nothing about your baby, ever leaves Google Cloud.
How long we keep it
Your entries stay until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting a single log entry removes it immediately. Deleting your account removes your profile, your push tokens and any baby you are the only caregiver of — including all of that baby's logs and reminders. A baby shared with other caregivers is kept for them, with you removed from the caregiver list.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Delete my account in the app. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately; there is no recovery window. You can also email us at the address below and we will action it for you.
Children
peepoop is for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. The information you record is about your baby and is entered by you, under your control.
Your rights
You can access and correct your data inside the app at any time, export it by sharing from the timeline, and delete it as described above. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us and we will help.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for anything material, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
